I need a new skimmer I was looking the Aqua C Remora. Is it worth it? I how have a corlife super skimmer, and well let's just say it is a piece of junk.

The price is $209.00 does that seam right? If not where can I get it for cheaper?
Thanks for the help

Whoa there, you have a very good skimmer. What seems to be the trouble with it? Adjustments will do wonders.

For some reason inside the chamber where the bubbles are it just stops producing bubbles. I have cleaned out the air tubing that connects from the pump..
I don't know what else to do.. I just have given up on the skimmer!

Had the same problem w/ the one that does up to the 65, it was the venturi valve. contact whoever you got it from and see what they will do for you, or contact the manufacturer. We havent replaced it yet, just got the much needed larger skimmer. one of these days we are going to replace the venturi. hold it up to your return so the return blows through the valve,if theres no air coming through it, then you know its ur venturi valve
by the way, coralife super skimmer both up to 65 and up to 125 worked WONDERS. currently have the one that does up to 125 and it does an AMAZING job

You have the water valve turned down to much or air diffuser down to much or both. They are both adjustable on the skimmer.

The venturi valve is the gray thing that has the strainer on one end and hooks to ur pump, it has the air hose on it. Hold the strainer end up to a power head w/ decent/high pressure flow and watch the other end to see if there is bubbles coiming out the other side w/ water. if there is no bubbles like what happened to us, you need a new venturi valve.

If you don't get your coralife skimmer straightened out and you still want to get a Remora, I paid $168 for mine. I emailed the company and they gave me a list of local dealers and websites to buy from. I ordered mine from one of their recomended websites.
