need a quick answer-t5 lights

getting ready to order my lights, will 6 48 inch fixtures be enough light for a 150 gal, or should i go with 8 36 inch

why not go with 8 48"? I have that over my 90gal

I didnt think they would fit. because i would have to stagger the 48 inchers. the 36 i can put end to end.

IMO.. I'd do the 8 36 in ones and lay em side by side.

ok. I bought my new lights. 16 34 wtt t5. its two units (one i got here from a fellow reefer) each unit has 8 lights. i hope this will be enough for my 150, and a lot cooler.

WOOOHOOOO! :joy: I think you'll be really happy. I have an 8 lamp T5ho 36in on my 65 tall and really love it.

could i see a picture. I guess im just a little worried this wont be enough light. I will still have room, so i can always add 2 to 4 more if needed.

I just got a 6 bulb T5 Tek fixture for my 75. So far I LOVE it!

not sure of the name, and cant post where i got it, but here is a picture.
it has individual reflectors.
it was 300.00 plus shipping. I also bought one from a fellow reefer.
They are retros and will mount in my canopy
