My dad happend to be in the LFS tonight and decided to bring me home a few gifts. I would have taken them straight back, but its a 40 min drive, and by the time he got here they were closed. He was just being nice and thinking of me, but he knows nothing at all about sw fish.
Anyway, he brougt me home 6 scarlet hermits, 6 snails of some kind, which i needed both, so those were a good thing. He also brought me home a flametail blenny, which is a cool fish so thats good too. On the other hand, he got me a Rock anemone, and a bubble tip brittle star. neither of which i know ANYTHING about. I dont know what they eat, lighting requirements or anything. All i have for lights as of now is a coralife 50/50 that is only 30 watts. I'm going to get some PC's soon, but not for at least a month.
My tank is a little over a month old and the LFS tested my water a few days ago and said it was all good. So, any suggestions would be appreciated. I can and will take them back tomorrow if need be, but they are pretty interesting creatures and i would like to keep them, but only if I can provide them with a good enough home.
Thanks

I would take the rock flower back but everything else sounds good. Brittle stars are pretty easy to take care of. How big is your tank how long have you had it running and what else is in it?

yeah you would need more light for it must people say metal halides are the best for any kinda of anemone. The rock eats meaty stuff like silversides and stuff. There cool anemones i have one there from the caribbean. Also i dont have metal halides i am running a Current USA SATELLITE DUAL Lighting system which creates about 260 watts in my 55 gallon and he has been doing ok. But i dont usual follow the norm.
