our tank is 55 gallons, with wet/dry filter, heater, and basic lighting, tank substrate cc, and big piece of dead coral.
first we decide to put the fish into the new tank, but they develope ick in a day or so, so we want to start that 55 gallons from the beginning, we wash off everything, and put it back.
we have coral beauty, bicolor, 2 velvet damsels, 1 maroon clown, 1 neon goby, 2 cleaner shrimp, 2 peppermint,
we put one coral beauty, 1 damsels, maroon clown, in 10 gallons tank, and put the other in another 10 gallons tank to do the hyposalinity.
but we put the invert back into the 55 gallons tank, just put new water yesterday to circle.
is that a good idea, if not what should i do.
(the lfs near my area won't do any trade for saltwater fish)
is there anything i do to start up the ammonia. my bro said, after i took out and wash the gravels they are not 100% clean so, will they start it up or i have to add a piece of shrimp???

hehe sorry about that, i am trying as hard as i can trying to explain the situation.
first i have 2 tangs, and one kelinn butterfly, 2 damsels, 1 clown, and put into the 55 gallons tank. 2 tangs and butterfly die by icks. and we didn't do anything to the tank and 2 weeks later i bought the coral beauty, and bicolor, they start to have icks. the water quality in 55 gallons is bad. so i decide to start all over again.
wash all the stuffs in the tank, and bought a wet/dry filter. to cycle the tank.

I noticed on your Bio, you registered dec 20 and
stated you were just in marine environment for
2 weeks..it is appx one month since then...
thus, I think your losses are due to,to many (nice)
fish to soon...when you restart your 55, you should
have only 2 or 3 small fish to start the cycle.
Once the your amonia, nitrates , and nitrites get
back to zero, then add one fish at a time in order
for the system to adjust. Please slow down as you may continue to loose fish and money.

the tank may not even have cycled yet, which can kill any fish, and angels and some tangs and butterflies, need to be added to a well matured system, 6 or 12 months after the cycle is over,
slow down, cycle your tank and wait a coupole of weeks before adding 1 smaller fish, and then wait again (only add small amounts of fish and add them slowly(over months) this is vital in marine care), this cannot be hurried, and you also need to rethink your stocking, a 55 gallon is not big enough for some of the fish you mentioned
