My guess snail eggs... they look like my snail eggs, {that I started with} ten and have over (cant count that high) say dozens of mini snails or maybe limpits both reproduce often in my tank and since I have no troubles with stuff dying off or off key readings on my tests would say you either have (IMO) mini [check my spelling] illinassus snails or maybe limpit eggs both are good algae eaters..

I do have those snails and I was wondering if that was what they were I have seen the snails crawling on them but have not seen them depositing them.

You have no idea just how bad, it started out with a half dozen or so and my wife was throwing a fit about me killing them and they weren't spreading for about 6 months and then after I moved my aquarium they went crazy and now I have over 300
and I am having difficulting finding something to kill them off have been trying to get joes juice from lfs for 2 months, and they also have not had any livestock that will eat them, so I have been trying to get some kalkwasser and try that but have not been able to track that down locally either so in the meantime the aptasia is ruling my tank.

Get a batch of peppermint shrimp and try a copperband butterfly if your bioload can support it. Both eat aiptasia.

Not all peps eat Aiptasia. Mine did and they do work. Otherwise u could get a syiringe and inject them with hot water.

When the weather is a little more hospitable try an online order. I am sure it is too cold in Wyoming this time of year though.

I ordered my pep-shrimps from this site in the middle of winter and trust me, it's pretty cold in NE PA in the winter.
Everyone arrived nice and toasty in the foam box with a heat pack.
I also got a shipment of corals this summer in the middle of the worst heatwave week of 2006. The foam box with a gel/cool pack worked perfectly.
And the peps are actually pretty cheap on this site...5 for less than $20.00.
I still have 4 of the 5 and they're huge now!

Peps are good, but they wont frequent the Petals, which is what you are seeing there. Lemon Juice actually works kind of well (I have been testing it over the last 48 hours) but it can also create a MASSIVE flux in your PH if you use to much at one time. Berghias are really the only thing that is about 99%, Berghia Nudibranchs. Because they live soley off of aiptasia and the petals.

I think I will be ordering some burghia nudi's soon if I can't get this under control. I hate the idea of an animal starving to death in my aquarium after it runs out of food though and I don't know enough people with saltwater tanks to trade them to.

Well if you get some peps you don't have to worry about them starving to death. They are great scavengers.
