I know, i guess my sarcastic tone didnt come off as well as his did haha... Well ill have to try it before friday i guess because I do home to FLA for 3 months. What would happen if i left it in there? I mean... i understand it will grow but to be honest with you the corals i have in there now i could care less about... when i get back to school after break i plan on buying a t-5 lights and starting all over again with some new LR and add more corals...
Am i the only one who kinda thinks they are cool?
Also I think what I am going to do is go home and work then buy crabs and another shrimp from here or another place and have them delivered to my gf's house and let her dad aclimate them and add them

If you let it go for three months, chances are very good that it will cover almost every rock in the tank, kill all your corals and you will never get rid of the stuff. I had some in a tank about 5 years ago, and like you thought it was kind of cool ~ population exploded. Didn't know any better, I was taking it and selling it to the LFS (He also didn't know anybetter). 2 years ago, summer heat killed off the entire aquarium
, and I had neithre the motivation or money to reset the tank till this last December (kept tank topped off, and lights running), but did nothing else. In December with help from a friend, I reset the tank ~ after a year and a half of being fallow (nothing alive) guess what shows up? I recommend that you kill it as quickly as you can before it begins to spread.

I think they are cool. I really want to set up a race way filter with aiptasia as a filtration method but I need to determine the exact flow rate for a single pass through a UV to keep them from spreading back into the tank through the return.
but not cool in my tank too dangerous to too many expensive corals.

The torch, actually, was not a joke. They are around $15 at walmart or less if you have a Harbor Freight Tools store nearby. Pull the rock up out of the water and fry the aiptasia with it. Placing the rock in the freezer overnight works, but it kills the entire rock.
Lemon juice requires a hypodermic needle, NOT A BASTER! Pull one drop of lemon juice into the syringe and inject the glass anemone near the base of the foot. Repeat if necessary. Too much will affect your PH, so don't get to overzealous.

I agree dont go shooting lemon juice into your tank with a baster. I use a hypodermic and pull about 5cc into the syringe then inject the aiptasia with it, then continue to slowyl "bathe" the shriveled aiptasia in flow from the end of the syringe to ensure no little pieces break free alive. if I can I pull the rock out of the tank to do this so I can soak the little bugger in juice for a minute or two. I also used wider tip feeding syringes to suck the little bugger off the rock after the lemon bath then rebathe the area it was stuck to ensure death.

Pulling the rock seems to give a huge advantage. If I nuke one with the rock still in the tank I often have to readminister the treatment. It gives you the opportunity to soak the specimen with full strength liquid.
