Thanks for the feedback so far...he loves gadgets (of course what guy doesn't) he travels a lot for work and most of it's driving. he doesn't have much time for hobbies - other than our new found love of saltwater fish but we're still in the beginning stages of our new tank. he's really just the typical guy's guy - sports, electronics, cars

What kind of budget??? A nice trip would do! As for the Steelers tix, if he hasn't been to many games any seat will do - trust me. Guessing... he's probably got a lot of sports memorbillia, so more is just that!! Think about it, there's gotta be something that he's wanted for his car for awhile??? If not, I think you'lll hit the spot with the Steelers tix.

How about something for the tank? Equipment? LR? (You get him a rock and maybe he'll get you one!) Some livestock maybe?

If you can't find Steelers tix try their Ticket Exchange link in the Steelers website. Sometimes fans will sell tix just to get rid of them (for a profit of course).

gift card to a LFS you trust. I really like the tattoo idea. Thats a great one. A magazine subscription to CORAL magazine was a great gift my fiance got me. My personal favorite though is to have a romantic homecooked meal with a nice bottle of wine. Good luck, let us know what you do.

Oh I've been checking ticket exchange everyday for the past month - all you can get, well could get, were preseason tickets. I'm hoping that one of my friends/relatives that are season ticket holders will be able to sell me one of their games but no luck yet and I have only a week left!!

ONE WEEK????? You sound like the guy!!! J/K How old is he? You're family should help you out - just explain the situation. How bout this - I'm from NY but frequent PA from time to time and of course we both get a bunch of snow. Does he have an automatic car starter??? If not, that'll make a great gift.

LOL ya, thats the problem I'm just as much of a procrastinator as every other guy. I've never been the settling type til him so this is actually my first one yr anniv i've celebrated. The automatic starter would be an awesome idea - if he didn't get one for me last Christmas! (and yes, it's an amazing gift!) seems like a bit of a cop out to me buying him something he got me...but definitely a great idea if i get stuck!! I bought him a pretty awesome head unit for christmas and that went over quite well

I don't see it as a cop out really, just sux that he beat you to the punch! Just think about how much you loved the gift. I'm sure he will too. Here are a couple other thoughts:
Ski trip??
Weekend at a Bed & Breakfast. You can book it in November and hope you get a nice cold winter night to cuddle by the fireplace while sipping some whine and... well you know the rest!!!!!!!
BTW - Congrats on the anny, sounds like you have a keeper. What is a head unit???

Well I have been a Steeler fan longer than you have been alive so I would love to help someone go to a Steeler game. I only went to one game at 3 rivers because I have not lived in Pittsburgh much of my life, but born and raised a Steeler fan. I saw that they are going to be in AZ on Sept 30. You could probably get tickets to that game and make a trip out of it, depending on what your budget is.

Thanks! Head unit is the CD player for his car. the one i got him has a USB port so you can just throw a bunch of songs on a jump drive and plug that in instead of using CDs. it was also SIRIUS capable so now he has satellite radio.
I do really like the idea of the ski trip - we tried going skiing all last winter and never happened!! it'd actually be pretty cheap too since my uncle has a place at Deep Creek Lake, MD so I could probably get down there this winter.

It would be easy to make a trip out of it but let's be honest, nothing beats a Steelers game in Pittsburgh! Tailgating in the snow and freezing temps, hangin out with 40-50,000 of your closest friends because once you put on that black and gold and head into town it's just one big party and EVERYONE gets along!! I usually end up going to go a game or two throughout the season so I'm sure we'll be there sooner or later I just thought I could use that as a cop on the gift

So true!
In all honesty though I think you should get him something that YOU think of. Even if you just make him a card, it is something from you.
