Will this help?

If I ran my house at 70, I am not sure how much my electric bill would be. I am pretty sure it would run all the time since it would never get to 70. 100+ ouside noway.
To give you an idea. $250 if you keep it at 78 and this is a new energy star house. 2300 sqft ***)

I live in Wyoming and I have dual 250w metal hallide retrofit canopy with 4 55w PC's over my 55 and I have to run a heater on my tank to keep it at 78 have not had this fixture during the summer yet but I don't forsee any problems since my tank is in the basement and it rarely gets above 75deg in the basement. I have two 80mm computer fans blowing across the top of my tank from front to back in front of each bulb. The bulbs are probably 6-8" from the top of the water and and I have a plexi cover on my tank to keep my snowflake in. I would try it without the chiller and see how it works before I dropped $400+ on a piece of equipment I didn't need.
You can get computer fans from a computer dealer or electronic supply store locally or on the web or you can just scavage them out of old computers I got mine from an old computer powersupply, and they are simple to power I used an old cell phone charger that was rated for 12 volts. If anyone has questions on hooking these up or where to find some send me an email Natclanwy

I live in South GA and my electric bill is high during the Summer ($350+). I do keep my temp set at 74 and I also uncover the pool for the summer. Don't know why I chimed in, it just felt like the thing to do.
