A guy locally is selling a Coralife Metal Halide clip-on back light for the price below. My LFS is selling this light for about $290. Is this a good light for a 37G tank and a good buy being 6 months old? Thanks
Only used for about 6 months works great. Your corals will grow like crazy with this. Sells in any of your local shops for $300 plus tax. I will sell for $150 Firm

Seems good but may be time to replace the bulb. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think MH bulbs are good for 6-8 months. I just got my set up on MH so I am not too familar with them

I appreciate the response. Would you happen to know how much a bulb would cost?

Do you have high light corals in your tank? If so I don't know if I would chance the used lamps but if you have LPS and softies I would run the lamp a few more month. 150 for that light is a good deal if it is in good shape, not a steal or nothing but good.

The lamp will cost anywhere from $50-90 or so depending on what brand and where you get it, so figure that into what he is selling this for. It's still a deal, just not as much of one if you need to replace that lamp, which you'll want to do somewhat sooner than later being that you have no way of knowing the age of the lamp.
I replace my halides every 12 months.

I just bought the light! Got him down to $125. Works great from what I noticed at his house. Haven't had a chance to set it up yet. The fixture itself is over a year old and the bulb is 6 months old.
I think it's gonna work well, we'll just have to see though...

125 sounds like a much better deal. Good luck.
