Wait till its dark and use a flash lite i have got a few fish out of my reef that way . Works pretty good

I have found the best time to get fish out is when you feed them because they aren't usually paying attention and you can bait them to your net, but you really only got one shot. If you can't get him right away then wait awhile otherwise you will never get him. I had a damsel that I couldn't get out of my tank and I tried for 1 hour to get him out getting more frustrated, then for the next 3 weeks anytime I came near the tank he hid. I've gotten a couple through feeding, but this guy I actually got out the way tallen4392 said at night when he was sleeping (do fish sleep?) well at least when he was oscillating and not expecting it.
