Need help choosing correct overflow box?

Was looking for and overflow box and ran across this one. Would this work well for a 38Gallon 36"x12.25"x20"? I would install a stand pipe on it. It is rated for 600GPH. It has a 1 inch bulkhead fitting included.
I will have 60Lbs of LR, and a 2" sand bed using and aquarium calculator I come up with 29 gallons of water. Turned over 20X per hour will need 600GPH correct?

or would this one with the U tube be better. It is rated at 700GPH per hour.
Which one would be quieter?

Personally, I have the U-Tube one and cannot hear a thing out of it...so if you are basing your decision on noise that might be a way to go. But I have no idea if the other one makes any noise either...
