Need help containing chaeto

Hi,
I just added new chaeto to my fuge. It looks healthy, but it is not clumped together in a thick ball like the last time I bought it. Looks like it was cut or something? It was blowing all over the tank and clogging my return pump, so I had to put some filter floss in my bubble traps to try and stop it from entering the last chamber of the sump. That seems to have stopped it from getting in there, but is there anything I can do in the meantime to get it to hold together? Can I wrap it up in some netting or something? It's coming apart so much that I am left with just a little tiny handful in the fuge.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

If its big chunks you can use fishing line to bind it into a ball and then use the excess line to attach it to one spot until it binds together otherwise I think Pantyhose will work as a pouch..... I've heard it used on powerheads to keep fish and critters out of them.
