Hey Kat74,
Glad the hear it! BTW, I clean forgot to ask how long your photo period was.
You could try 8 hours if it isn't already there.
But I do believe keeping the room temp down is going to make a world of difference.
Changing out the fans still wouldn't be a bad idea.
Keep hounding Oceanic, or get your own.
They aren't expensive.
Thanks Coral Keeper for showing your pc fan mod. Nifty!
Saz <- still waiting on my new fans!

I have the actinics on from 12noon to 10pm and the daylights on from 1pm to 9pm.
The room temperature has been staying around 74-75, so I haven't had anymore heating problems and did move my heater back into the tank because the temp dropped down to 78 the other morning. Now, when the lights are on, it's been keeping at a steady 80.4.

I was just having a bad, humid, hot room day the other day....

Nothing better then a simple fix! Seriously glad to hear it. We have the exact same lighting schedule. How funny! A cool room isn't helping my problem however. pooh. Oh well.
Say, have you seen the new led aquarium lights? I'm waiting impatiently for them to go down in price.

Live here in Washington DC area and temp hit 82 over the weekend. Based on my experience and what others have said. there's not enough fan power in the biocubes. This isn't Oceanic's fault IMHO.
Of course, if the temp goes much above 86 or 87 and you don't have AC, fan power may not help you much. The water will be about 3 or 4 degrees below room temperature.
I like the computer fan idea. Coral Keeper, did you have to connect wires?
Tip: Clams, corals and anemones need lots of light and the total wattage of the 10K and blue actinic of the BC29 is not enough for clams and many corals. If you only have fish and LR -leave the blue actinic off most of the time -it will only add to the heat problems. As a matter of fact, a FOWLR tank doesn't need the lights all day long. Many fish on real reefs avoid light!
