Need Help Feeding My Fire Fish Goby

My fish have HUGE appetites! I'm only feeding them Formula 1 frozen food right now and they scarf it up like crazy! My LFS was out of frozen mysis, so as soon as their new order comes in I plan on using that as well.
I watched a video on YouTube and saw an example of how a person feeds frozen food. The guy took the frozen cube of food, put it in a tiny cup of aquarium water and let it defrost. Then poured it through a small net over a sink. He then got two more tiny cups of aquarium water and poured them through the small net (I guess rinsing off the food?). He then took the net and swished it around the aquarium emptying/scattering the food. I'm not 'over rinsing' the food am I?
I copied his procedure and so far every fish and invert goes nuts when feeding time comes. I gave up on using algae sheets for the Lawn Mower Blenny, he's perfectly happy with the Formula One and grazing on the algae that's already in the tank. He actually has a little 'pot belly' now...haha
Doesn't garlic also help a fishes immune system? I don't think I need it to get them to eat more...they already have voracious appetites, but if it'll help them stay healthy then I'm all for it!! (I'll make sure and use only real garlic cloves too! :)

It doesn't hurt the fish in any way; but you don't have to rinse as much, just to be easier on yourself.

Some people, like me, say it does help their immune system.. but as Siptang said earlier, there is no "evidence" to support that... but I am a true believer in it.

What Siptang stated is true. Garlic is to increase their appetite mostly to new inhabitants and sickly fishies, however, there it is a known fact that garlic does contain Vit. C which in turn is good for the aquarium.
The garlic sold in fish stores is a concentrated garlic. Most people baste there noristrips with this product. It is very strong and "personally" I don't use it. Your tank will smell like an Italian restaurant LOL!!!
The rinsing of your food is okay. I do the same but differently. I chop my mysis two or three times, after breaking off a medium size chunk, put the pile in a strainer with the rotifers and let it melt. After a while I "sometimes" add the Selcon, two-three drops and allow it to soak.
As stated ealier, I do this (add garlic or Selcon) once a month. In my opinion too much of a good thing is not good.
The night before i do my water change, I will OVERFEED my system. Called broadcast feeding I believe. I will then add in half the dropper of Selcon to the tank. The water is so cloudy you are almost unable to look through it. The corals had been in the dark for close to an hour and are all open. They eat very well the night before the water change. the next day I do almost a 50% water change. I do this once every three months. I should also state that I leave the skimmer off as well. The sun corals are open and I typically spot feed them mysis.
And Traveler, don't knock it unless you've tried it.

Meaning?
After reading my last post it is clear to me that I should have been more specific with you. I did not mean to sound condescending so I will elaborate.
Most folks on here do not like to add chemicals in their systems that they are unable to test for, and I agree strongly however, the other half "experiment" with certain techniques and additives whether Vodka dosing, sugar/vinegar dosing, or in my case Vitamin C dosing. With this said, the aquarist will find something that their system thrives from and produces great results. The aquarist then chooses to share this information in hopes that the same results happens in the others tanks.
I chose Selcon because it gives my fish neighbors and the coral a "little" umph and they do great.
You have to understand something, I only do the selcon/garlic every three weeks or so when I am home so if there is a problem I can take care of it.
I chose to share this information with the OP in hopes that she shares the same outcome I have seen with my system. You say it's crap, I say don't knock it unless you have tried it.
I stated the same to her using the formula one, yes I remember that, only because I have used it and did not like what it did to my system. It made it dirty and the left over polluted my tank. Now that could be merely because my fish did not like it. Her fish enjoy it obviously and therefore she gets good results. You feed things others may not and I do things other may not. America is amazing isn't it? Lol...

I have 2 fire fish goby and I also have clown fish. I just feed small amounts of food until the clowns lose interest and then the fire fish eat. It takes a little longer but I know they get enough this way.
