I obtained this invert from a good friend of mine, and just wanting to know the things i should do to keep at maximum health...i heard it was a carnivore..so i dropped some mixed frozen meaty foods into the water(to test), and he went to town trying his best to catch it with his tentacles...and then once he grabbed it, his mouth opened up and he just slowly moved the food into his mouth...and of course i have the lighting under control =-)
Thanks for ur help

I've had mine for three years. They like to be on a rock, verses the sand. They are fairly simple to care for. Just make sure he has good lighting, and a good flow around him so he can catch things out of the water column that he may want. About twice a week take a pair of plastic thongs and feed him silversides, or krill, something meaty. You might have to cut it up a little. Use the thongs to hold it down next to him, he will grab it up. This way you make sure he is actually getting some food. And lastly keep an eye on your water quality.
This is my little flower. I couldn't believe the encrusting gorgonia grew in around the anemone, and the anemone just let it go. But both have lived on this rock for about 2 years, so I guess they are happy together.
