Hey everyone,
I have 100 pounds of live rock I am purchasing from someone. They need to sell it QUICK, its in their tank and they need to sell their tank - but my stand won't be here till Friday!
I have a 37 gallon that I was going to set up as a quarantine tank, it has no stand either yet.
Can I just get the live rock and sand and put it in the 37 gallon with a heater and a power head for a week until my stand for the 60 gallon gets here?!
:help:

It will be ok?
Its fully cured live rock with a TON of purple on it. Its been in his tank for almost a year.
Will I have die off, or will it be ok?
Should I put some "cycle" product in with it to help for the week it wont have a filter?
:help:

I'd go rubbermaid and put a heater and power head for circulation. test the water and see whats happening during the week. Treat it as a tank and all should be well. If your water quaility is good then you shouldn't see any die off or change in the coraline.

100 pounds of LR + sand...hmmm, the rubbermaid "bins" are great, but 1 may be too small for all that. I would throw it all in a big rubbermaid trach barrel instead, with the heater and powerhead.

Like it was mentioned, just place'em in a large rubbermaid. Run heater and pump along with a thermometer with it. I would run it like a tank with lighting above it until the stand gets there. I would also use his tank water as well. :happyfish
