Here's my deal, my 150 gallon Oceanic fish only tank which I started about 1 month ago has these white tiny dots floating around the water.
It started 7 days ago when I messed around in my sump hooking up my uv sterlizer which stirred everything up. I am sure it's the dust from the live sand but my tank will not clear up.
I might be crazy but my purple tank is covered in the stuff like he is velcro and I am hoping its the sand stuck on him as it doesn't look like ick and he's acting fine
I had a Mag 7 700GPH water pump operating for both built in overflows and recently changed it with my Rio 3100 900 gph water pump. It hasn't helped clean up the water so tonight tried hooking up 2 rio 3100's and the tank became a whirl pool .. way too much water flow so I changed it back to the 1 rio 3100 ... meanwhile I can't get this damn tank clear and it's frusterating the h*ll out of me.
My 65 gallon tank is crystal clear and it uses a rio 3100 also ...
What the heck can I do ... please help !!

Could be air bubbles to getting into the flow. Turn the sump off for a bit since you messed with that and see if they atleast decrease.
