I doubt it. I can't imagine a one-step is going to be able to perform the same filtration a 'real' RO/DI is.
Oh, and you might want to doctor that pic.

i don't have experience with it, but i heard you'll need to change out the filter on that thing almost weekly. not to mention it's not a zero tds unit, which means stuff get's through the filters.

No offense... but you really can't go wrong with a "real" ro/di unit for a few bucks more. Going cheap now will cost you in the long run.
 
I have the exact same filter, the cartridges are about 25 dollars to replace and they only last a short while, you will spend much more money in the long run on this unit. I used it for a while before I bought my rodi unit because I had a bunch of replacement cartridges that I picked up from a LFS that was closing for dirt cheap.

+1. Used it for awhile then found it was going to be cheaper to get the ro/di than continue to replace filters.

Yep. The filter is cheaper to purchase up front, but the costs to operate the unit and constantly replace filters will far exceed the cost of a full blown RODI in weeks or months. These things are insanely expensive to operate.
