i've posted this in the seahorse section, but this section gets more visitors for an emergency
I just got to wild dwarfs yesterday and have them in a make shift setup til 2m when they go to their pico tank.
Right now they are both breathing heavy... because i only have a airstone in there, i'm concerned about lack of oxygen, but also i'm guessing the heat will play a part as well... epleting oxygen... am i right? also i am doing regular water changes to help the ammonia level.
ammonia - .10 (maybe little less)
temp - was 84 now cooling with fan to 80 and then I think it needs to be a 74 but worried about a big temp swing.
salinity - 1.019
please help soon!

Much of your problem is the ammonia. Get some Amquel Plus and use it immediately as directed on the bottle.

I have had lots of seahorses before and I heard that bubbles are bad for them. It can cause their skin to bubble up and die. No matter how much air you put into the water it doesnt mean the water is arsorbing it. Thats why most SW setups you never see air lines in them like you do on a freshwater tank. IMO the bubbles might be stressing them. Good luck. Seahorses are my favorite but are high maintenance.
