Need help setting up Wet/Dry

i Just got this nice Amiracle wet/dry filter that is a pain to setup. The water comes in at the side, not directly on top into the bio ball bin. If anyone is familiar with these filters let me know

What exactly do you mean that it comes in the side? Do you have felt on top of the bio-balls, and it's running off the side of them? I removed my felt prefilter to expose the holes better for the water to run through,now I get no "run-off". Let me know if that is what you mean. Is your prefilter really noisy?

i have the amiracle mr200. but i'm not sure what you are talking about. give us a few more details and i'll be happy to help

I recently setup my first tank 55g and could have had the same experience, but my local supplier told my how to setup the wet/dry. Put the prefilter on top of the bioballs under the plate with the holes in it. The water will then run across the plate and come dowh thru the holes. Hope this helps.
