Need help to ID corals in my tank + my first photos of my tank

Hello all,

Now couple of weeks I’ve been on this site and be sure I appreciate scanning through your different discussions, enjoy pictures from all your beautiful tank & dream when I follow logs from those setting up very large tank !

So this message as I would need help to identify 2 corals in my tank which I have never been able to positively define what they are. But first an overall picture of my tank, being a 80Gallon, 2.5 years old (with more details in my profil when I will have taken time to fill it)



So here are the 2 species I would need help to identify:

• 
  First one came on the rock on some yellow polyps I ordered and then spread almost entirely on the adjacent rock & since I’m trying to limit them there: any clue what this is or any comments whether I should be glad to have that or should at the contrary limit its growth ?

The second (and sorry for the photo not being very good but did not succeed to get it better) looks like a sponge with a porous structure, being grayish / blueish (even if seems to be on places without lot of light, still seems those being under rock, i.e. with even less light, to be more gray than others with more light being more blue). I’m keeping an eye on them as quite covering the rock where it started but so far has been quite limited to this area (even if recently I found some on the other side of the tank) and again any help to identify what this is & if I should rather be happy to have it or the reverse will be appreciated


Finally as I spent some time trying for the first time to take some decent photos of my tank (not being easy as not having a nice camera nor a tripod), I’m posting them below and any comments / suggestions very welcome


(I love seeing my shrimp & goby staying all the time together and building nice tunnel with such sand & gravels - where both of them can diseapear during days !)

Very nice.....in the first coral I.D. pic...do they grow on a mat? If so I am gonna say PSP (Pink Star polyps) At least they look just like mine
ALSO the 2nd looks like sponge....

The first coral is a daisy polyp, generic polyp probably Knopia sp. I like them, they make nice fillers, but they can be invasive and tend to grow like weeds. You can just rip them back as needed.
The second looks like sponge.
Tank looks good! The pagoda cup is beautiful!

The first photo is what I have been told are called stick polyps or wood polyps. I am not sure why they are called that.
They spread very easily but from my experience aren't an invasive coral like xenia. I bought a lot of rock that was covered with them. While they have spread a bit to cover more of the rock, they haven't spread to other surfaces. They have done equally well under pc's as halides.

First looks like an encrusting Briarium to me.
Second would be a sponge.

Thanks all for your answers. Yes this is growing on a mat and I looked into Google for the first set of image / coral to ID to your different suggestions: and indeed close but not exactly the same and therefore probably within the same family (and therefore amazing when you think about diversity of corals and that you can always get a new one - all the more in my case as came as an addition to the coral I was buying- )
