Need Help to ID Hitchiker

I looked in the Hitchiker post but was unable to identify it there. Any help would be awesome. He is laying in a corner on the sand and is not moving very much (if at all it could be the current)

Are peanut worms okay....
Is it wierd that he is out floating around in the tank and not in a rock?
If its dead how would I know?

Peanut worms are a good member of the clean up crew. It's true, usually they're seen in the rock and not in the open like that. Don't really know ... it could be sick or dieing or maybe not. It's coloring in the first picture does look strange to me. :thinking:

The part that is not colored is Off white and looks like the texture of a Baby Corn.
I dont think he is doing well. He was in my rock the other day I say the colored part of him sticking out.
I have only had the rock for a few days and the LFS a few days before that I thought it was strange to see growth that quickly.

I have a peanut worm in my new 12gal. Looks just like that, although I never see the fat white part, only the long brown tentacle thing sticking out of the LR. He came in on a piece of LR. I was freaked out first time I saw it, but they’re supposedly beneficial. He only comes out at night, and when I do see min, he seems to be eating up stuff on the LR.
