ok i swear i can never make up my mind on which fish i want for my tank. so i need some help. here is my set up
-29 gallon reef
- set up for about a year
-about 30-35 pounds of lr (planning on more)
some mushroom corals and a kenya tree coral im getting a new light system in a couple of weeks and i am going to keep some lps, leathers and some polyps.
-no fish at the moment
ok so my original plan was
- 2 occ. clownfish
- 1 biolor blenny
- 1 sixline wrasse
but everyone has that list and i want to do something diffeent but im not sure what? i really want to add a small puffer like a valentini or a blue spot, but i wanted to know if they picked on corals or not? and i kno that the blue spot will outgrow his tank but the one i saw at my lfs is like only an ich long so i think he has some time before he out grows that tank, and i am already starting the plans for my 90 gallon tank so when he gets too big i will move him into that tank. i kno it is overcrowded, but could it be done?any suggestions are welcome as well.

You are already stocked to the max for saltwater fish. In saltwater it is one inch of fish per 3 to 4 gallons taking into account their full grown size.

I also have a 29 gallon tank. Right now I have very common (but enjoyable) pair of mated perc clowns and a royal gramma. One of my first fish that I absolutely LOVED and isn't all that common is a midas blenny. He was a great fish; I actually cried when he died. What about a dwarf angel or gold-stripe maroon clown? Or maybe a couple smaller fish like neon gobies? If your LS is deep enough a pearly-headed jawfish might be fun.

Yeah I dont see anything wrong with that list. I've got a Fuzzy Dwarf, Coral Beauty, 2 Bangaii Cardinals and a Scooter Dragonete in a 28 bowfront. Now that I actually wrote it out I realize that I'm over stocked. My tank is 9 months old and my readings are perfect though so take it for what its worth.
