Usually white (or light colored) tips are a sign of growth. However, there are times when tissue is lost for various reasons. A picture would solve it, but I'd guess it's growth. If tissue is being lost you could easily tell. Bleaching usually does not occur only on the tips... anyway I'm going on... if it looks healthy it should be growth...

A picture would help... here's one of my babies grown from a frag... bubble gum Acropora millepora... note the white tips being the growing corallites...

my ph is a bit low. mid 7 range with salifert test kit. i've tried using seachem supplement to raise ph, but didnt really help. could low ph be the cause?

What test kits are you using for Ca. I recently found out that Oceanic salt gives false readings with many kits. The salifert seems to be the only reliable one.

Bleaching can be caused by many things... it's similar to going to a doctor and saying "my roomate's died on the kitchen floor... what happened?"
In general, we need much more background on the circumstances... Is this your only Acropora?

i'll take a picture later, so you can get an idea of what im talking about.

How long have you had it and how long have you had it in that one spot... bleaching is a general sign of unhappiness...
the pic will help to...

Kip, my ph is between 7.7-8.0 sort of hard to tell with salifert color chart.
I havent dose anything for over two months, since switching salt mix to Oceanic. pretty weird, if you ask me...
