need help with Cycling

Hi, I started cycling a 55 G tank 2 weeks ago. I bought Coral Sand as my substrate and a 10 lb? bag of live sand ($40.00). This was what was recommended to me at *****.I was ordering Live Rock and was told that the crushed coral would give me loads of trouble with my levels. I have always wanted a salt water tank. I know it's expensive but I hate to start over with buying enough Instant Ocean and live sand. Please tell me what to do. Thanks Kackey

Does this mean I need to empty the tank and start fresh or just take the coral and live sand out and keep the salt water?

I agree just leave the water (or drain it and store in buckets) then remove CC and then refill with the water.
