Need help with setting up 1st skimmer

Ok i currantly have a 20 gallon tank set up and bought an oceanic skimmer that is for the bio cube tanks....it has an air stone tha bblles up into a collection cup....in those tanks it looks like the spot for them is pre set....my question is where do i set the thing up realitve to the water level?...how many bubbles are suposed to over flow into the cup?...Right now it just bubbles over but after awhile the cup fills with water?...idk
..any help is appreciated.

Never worked with this particular skimmer, but you need to turn it down. You want your foam just barely coming into your collection cup - you'll have to play with it a little to find the right setting. Remember that most skimmers also take a couple days to "break in" so keep a close eye on it for the next 48 to 36 hours. Could cause a major flood. Hope that helps, and hopefully someone more familiar with this particular skimmer will chime in.

so I just want as little foam as possible going intoi the cup????....if i get water in there then its to high?
man the set-up paper for this thing isnt any help
