Just got a Volitan the other day, I don,t know what kind of food to give. I give my other fish pellets and flakes.my Lion don't want to touch them. The pet shop said I should give them live fresh water feeder fish, is it ok? Any suggestion please!!! My Lion looks very hungry, haven't eaten for three days!!

The moment your fish store opens, purchase some feeder guppies and feed the poor thing! Lionfish are carnivors.
You really should research before you purchase.
Someone else will have to chime in with more specifics..
You know the fish is venomous?

Freshwater feeders will eventually harm this fish, but it is a place to start. Never purchase a fish without seeing if and what it is eating at the LFS. Get a long feeding stick and try fresh shrimp, squid or silversides. Wiggle it in front of his face as if it's alive. How big is the tank he's in, and what are the other inhabitants? Pellets & flakes are an inadequate diet for marine fish. I would recommend that you research proper feeding of good frozen preparations.

yes, also try gutloaded ghost shrimp, and after it has some nutrition try silversides

Do not give your lionfish any type of freshwater feederfish! They will eventually cause the lion to get the fatal fatty liver disease.
If you are going to give it something live, gut-loaded ghost shrimp is the way to go. Gut loaded ghost shrimp means that you feed the shrimp something nutritious before you feed the shrimp to the lion.

Eventually your lionfish will eat everything, including air bubbles, flakes and smaller fish. However, it is an ambush predator, and its brain is attuned to attacking live organisms, so you have to take advantage of that behavior. Live feeder fish are ok for a start just to get your fish eating, but plan to convert it to silversides, shrimp, scallops, Formula 1, etc. This is done by, as advised above, mimicking live food by taking the prepared food and moving it in front of the lionfish. At first it will be reluctant, but they do learn. The great thing about predatory carnivores is that they always learn what they have to do to get food.

Wrong...unfortunately. There are a whole slew of them there now, thanks to stupid people who set them free in the Atlantic. They are even breeding there. If people only knew the impact of what they are doing when releasing a species that does not belong in a part of the ocean.
