need help

my friend has 30lb of live rock but it has been sitting for about 5 months in salt water without sirculation and has algae all over it so im sure its dead but how would i go about geting it right again so i can save money can it be done or not thanks

IMO... you should put it in a tank that has yet to cycle w/o livestock, or in a bin to make it "live" again... wash it and put into tank/bin with some lace rock, heater, PHs and perhaps some lighting...
