with the amonia going up they told me to add some evolution to get rid of it.. I don't think that sounds right.. I though that it would be part of the process to let it go. any suggestions?
After the ammonia spike you will see the ammonia level drop and the nitrites rise and fall followed by a rise in the nitrate level. When the nitrates start to fall your cycle will be nearing completion. After this you can start adding your critters.
