Need ID help, I have no idea what this is!!

I'm not sure what this is. It doesn't look like an exact match to any of the aiptasia pics I've seen. Does anyone know what this is and if it needs to go?

Are you referring to the little tentacles coming up from the purple rock?

Looks like a sp. of hydroids.

Yeah, they are purple with white tips.

Are they harmful to coral? If I need to get rid of them, what's the best way? I guess they must have came with that coral piece, its been in the tank for 3 months and this just started.

Since that little patch is all I have, I've just covered it with putty. Hopefully that will kill it and keep it from spreading.
