Need ID on two things

The first one is some sort of bubble, and it has two fluorescent green lines--like vertical = (equal) lines.
The second is a pinkish-purplish very soft growth. I scraped as much off as I could, but it grows back.
Are these good or bad?

First is bubble algae. You should remove them as you see them with a siphon at water change time. Suck them out with the siphon hose so they don't break, but if they do the spores get sucked out by the siphon.
The second is sponge. No harm just leave it be..

The first one is the green bubble algae....DO NOT scrape it off.....It will spread....you need to siphon it out w/o breaking it
the second looks like sponge....just leave it alone

WOW...quick response!!! Thanks for the info! So where do these come from? I haven't added anything to my tank in a long time. Also, do you have any good ways to get rid of Aiptasia anemones? I have taken a baster with boiling water and squirted them, but they keep coming back. I have a mixed tank with inverts, fish, and some coral (leather, ridcordea and colt coral).

Where do they come from...LOL...they hitch a ride...who knows.... what came first...the chicken or the egg...

For aptasia....you can try a little lemon juice
or buy some stuff called Joe's Juice....I have never tried any of this....just read about it

So the lemon juice won't hurt anything else in my tank? Do you use a baster like I did with the boiling water? I also heard peppermint shrimp eat them. Is that true? I'll have to find a new home for my six-line wrasse if I get peppermint shrimp though. The last time I put them in my tank, the wrasse ate them. Ugh! What an expensive lunch!

I find that instead of blasting it with a baster, actually stab and inject the boiling water/lemon juice/whatever you use into it with a syringe. Works better.
