Need info on anemones

Do you have to have the intense lighting if you have anemones in your tank? Or is it like a hit or miss on which need it and which do not.

generally most need pretty intense lighting, usually T5 or halide. i have seen some anemones do well under VHO. what type of lighting do you have and what size tank?

Well i just got the aquarium its a 40 gallon hex tank. It doesnt have any lighting yet because thats what i am trying to figure out what to buy! Make sense?

what are the dimensions? You could prob go with a 175W MH and grow most or you can go with a 250w MH and have plety of light. I have 2 250's on my 100 gal reef but I am going to add a 175

The top of the glass is 20.5 "
and each panel is 10" long with 6 panels...
i dont remember geometry at all!

if your tank is 24" deep I would recomend the 250

You will prob want to go with a pendant unless you have a canopy then you can go with a retro fit but you will want to cut holes and add fans to help with heat.
