Need info on condy anenome

I'm thinking of getting one of these guys from lfs. Those of you that have or that have had them, can you tell me if these are easier to keep than most other anenomes? I do have two percs and i DO understand that they don't need an anenome to be happy and probably will not be accepted by the clowns. I only am conciterering one because i find them very stunning. With that said, is it possable to keep it in a tank with 3 watts per gallon of pc light with regular feedings? Will its moving around most likely disrupt my corals? Will it sting my corals and other fish? Are there any other anenomes that are hearty and desirable in a reef tank?
Thanks,

WOW too bad you are not near me, I have a medium sized one I would love to give away! It has stayed exactly where I put in the tank and it has a purple color to it. They are very easy to care for IMHO, I don't feed it directly, it captures whatever floats by when I feed the fish. My clowns couldn't be bothered with it. Although with lower light levels you will need to offer it regular feedings.
BTW, if anyone is in the Philly area and would like it, shoot me an e-mail at greenmariner@home.com all you have to do is pick it up!!

You may or may not be okay with that amount of light. I have a condy -purple- in one of my tanks that has 4-w/g with no problem I don't even feed it all the time. I think I've had it about 3 years. However I may be able to give you some advice on the perc's... believe it or not, myself and all my friends have been able to get our perc's and other clowns to use condy's, not the purple ones though. There is a pink-tip condy that is more yellow-orange in color then purple. Clowns seem to love them and there simple to keep alive, had mine for around 3 years also.

Hay green mariner, why are you trying to get rid of your condy? Are there any undesireable traits of this anenome?
Will a condy sting my fish or corals?
thanks,

I have had 2 in my reef for the last 6 months and have never had a problem with them. My percula (4) don't ever use them but they are a great addition to any reef. They move around from time to time but have never bothered my corals or fish in any way that I have ever noticed. I have never directly feed them, they capture brine that I feed the fish. I do however use SMORGASBOARD made by Coralife 3 times a week for thier benefit. It's the equlivant I suppose of feeding them directly. They seem to be very hardy and even when I have had severe nitrate problems they hung in like a champ, never have seen a downside to having them yet(knock wood). :) :) :)
