need new mh bulbs

got my mh bulbs today.i just took off the light unit and its hot as hell.i am wondering if i even had the fans plugged in that are on the thing?i never noticed if they come on with the lights or not .it seems to have alot of cords on this thing?

stupid me .yes there is a seperate wire for the fans.so i have never had them running.there are 5 big fans in there.i always thought the two extra wires were for the moonlights i dont use.no wonder my tank temp goes up all day.maybe now i might not need a cooler.

didnt see your post about franks tanks, but yeah ill say theyre a pretty good shop. I dont trust almost all of the LFS in the DFW area. Franks tanks takes care of his stuff and even dips the corals he gets in, so i think you'd like his shop very much so!

well got a bad bulb.so i have to return it.i figure i will go out this weekend and buy one and have the replacement as a spare.
weird i went from 15000k to 14000k and my coraline looks mega purple.i wouldnt think 1000k would be so dramatic of a change.

well nike i just looked up franks.i better get there tomorrow since they are closed sunday.weird for a fish store to be closed on a sunday.most are cloased on monday or tuesday.
