Need new water pump...

I am needing a new water pump for my 180Gal DT, i currently have a Quiet one 5000, and I have had it only a couple of months but the noise is getting to be unbearable. as for power it worked fine, but i want something else.
Any ideas on what size i should have? the quiet one was about 1320gal/hour.
i was looking into the Eheim 5000 but was concerned it may not be as powerful.
any thoughts or ideas?

I have been using Supreme pumps for decades and they have been reliable. I always use them submerged, so noise is not an issue, but they will also run inline, but I can't attest to the noise level, or lack of it. Can you modify your setup to run submerged?

Yes my current pump is submerged. I will check into them and see if they have something for a 180gal DT.

are you using it for a return pump or a circulation like closed loop?

I am using it as a return pump, looking for something that can do close to 1800gal/hour, but kinda hard to find without spending hundreds or dollars.

The Eheim 5000 will do close to 1250 or so. but not sure if that will be enough power.

I personally run external pumps myself, but I think I read in some other forums some people talking highly about the Fluval pumps. maybe research them and see if they work for you.
