Bottom line: Bought new coral, and a slug/snail was in the bag. Should I put it in my tank, or should I through it out???
Thanks

Guess we all wanna know what it looked like...
But if you want a quick answer, I'd pitch it!! Better to be safe than sorry.

I was thinking that.
It looks like a lettuce nuddi with a small shell. It looks a little more like a slug with a shell. I didn't realize it even had a shell. I can't get a pix of it. I will look for one on the net.
thanks

If it rode in on a soft coral then chances are it may be a preditor.

looks very similar to that. It has a small shell. tenticles. It does look like that. It came with my green closed brain. It was in the bag, not actually on the coral. But I am assuming it came from that.
What do you think???

Stomatellas are safe. That's all I'm gonna say... Cause if I say, "Sure!! Throw it in your tank!" and it turns out that it's NOT a stomatella, then that would be bad. So check a few more pics and if you are pretty sure its a ST, then add it.

I opted to throw it away, since I can't get a picture of it. I just added my tang to my 180, and my angel and her are so fun to watch. the angel is a little smaller then her. She has been taking her back fin and sticking it into the tangs face. No biting or hostility is going on. Just some tail shaking. My new corals are opening and they look happy. So to be on the safe side I am going to pitch it. Thanks for the help!!!
