Need RO/DI filter help ASAP!

I have an RO/DI from aquasafe canada. On the drain line there is a restrictor valve. In on position it backflushes the membrane and the other it make water. I was flipping it last night and it got stuck and stripped. Of course in the position that doesn't make water. Does Lowe's or HD carry these? If not, is there are part I can put in it's place (just a restrictor?) so I can make water tonight. I am in the middle of changing a CC substrate to sand. I don't think I have enough water made to finish the change. I really need to make some water tonight. I will be heading to the store on the way home from work, but am looking for options if they don't have the exact part.
:help:

Lowe's or HD might carry a valve like that; I know for sure that they carry a limited assortment of 1/4" fittings.
I don't know exactly how Aquasafe plumbs their units, but my experience with a few AWI units leads me to this suggestion: A good temporary solution until you can get a replacement valve would be to cut the valve off (shutting off your input water first) and just capping both T's so that water only flows through the flow restrictor.

I agree with Rob about cutting it out for the time being... I was just in my local Lowes and found they have expanded their 1/4" selection greatly... They carry fitting similar to the Johnny Quest fittings, and do have the the valves that you are reffering to... Give em a look!!!!!

i seriously doubt hd has it as i worked at a smaller store until last month. lowes is geared more towards women and has less simple supplies and more decor. i'd look up a plumbing supply store as every town has 2-3 and they'll have anything you need.

I was just at Lowes and seen the new display and they have all the goodies at my local Lowes that you would need. Doesn't hurt to check!!!! And you'll pay twice the amount at a plumbing store than lowes...

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up buying a normal shut off valve, and opening it a little. That created enough pressure and allowed the waste water to go through. I am at least able to make water for now. I will get the maker of the filter to send me another valve. Our Lowe's and HD didn't have anything even close. Their 1/4 inch parts are very limited and they are lucky to have filter replacements for an RO system.

Damn I feel kinda special with my Lowes having all the goodies for the RO plumbing. I couldn't actually believe my eyes when I seen them myself... It would have come in handy when I was changing the pressure vessel over on my RO unit and forgot to order elbows to make things easier plumbing wise... know that I have what I need it never fails the local store starts carrying them!!!!!
