hey everyone,
1stall let me thank everyone on here for the help they have supplied me and everyone else. this is my first post but ive been reading for months now, all the advice and knowledge paid off and i have had a successful ssaltwater aquarium for several months now. but thats not my question.
i have the opprotunity to buy a used aquarium. its a 150 gallon all glass with absolutly everything, the guy does not have time to take care of it. the water is good, has 3 fish and a star serpant, all which have been alive for 2 years. theres alot of live rock in it cover with green algea, he has no shrimp, crabs or snails. substrate is aragonite, and sand. 3 power heads 2 overflows protien skimmer and 4 96w bulbs hes selling it all for 500 dollars, is this a smart buy, i have all the time in the world to do stuff.
else wise, the tank is cycled but needs to be moved, how should i go abt this? theres a lot of live rock, how should i clean it with out ruining the eco system or hurting the live rock? what should i do about the substrate? should i keep the water? i can keep the fish alive in my other tank. should i clean the sump and all the power heads, how fast should i get everything up and running? and anything else u need to know or suggest please let me know.
thanks for the help in advance
