i returned my clownfish to the pet store, i got 100$ for them

while I was there, i saw a lovely fish called a 'dwarf zebra lion' and i bought it
the pet store guy told me it was easy to keep, and he was right
i chopped up some table shrimp for him, and he devoured it crazy

so i need help because i want to know what else can go with him, i do know that he has a big mouth :help:
please don't call me a troll or an idiot
thank you

You did good if you got a dwarf Lion to eat so soon...
He'll be OK in this tank for awhile, but will appreciate a bigger tank somewhere down the road..
Aggressive/predator tanks are a bit tricky to stock for several reasons..
1. They are messy eaters, and place a high demand on filtration, so you need to limit tankmates..
2. They tend to eat their tankmates, so you need to get something "about" the same size, but then your back to overloading the filtration...
3.Snails and crabs will be safe...shrimp are gonna be "iffy" and will most likely end up an expensive treat..
4. No triggers or Puffers, tend to nip fins in close quarters.
5. Maybe a larger Maroon Clown..?

ok thank you
my lion hurt me though, i did another dumb thing and reached into the tank to move the rock around, his dorsal spines nicked me
i forgot to mention, i do have some coral in the tank, it's really, really pretty, it's called dendronepthea i think the name sounds cool

the guy at the pet store told me it is hard to keep because it needs to be fed tiny food. i am home schooled and have a lot of free time and have been feeding it frozen baby shrimp
also i lied about working in a lighting company, its actually my dad that does
sorry
the other corals i have are called acropora and montipora, they are growing reaaly good, i am surprised how fast they are growing

You are going to end up on everyone's ignore list, if you don't stop the storytelling.
Stings from many saltwater inhabitants are excruciating, and the words "hurt" and "nicked" are not even close to what reality would be.
Stop.

honestly with the questions that you are asking I would slow down the worst mistake you can make is impulse buy wich is what you done today. slow down and ask before you buy it will save you a lot of money in the long run.
since you say you have SPS corals Please tell us your complete tank setup lighting, filtration, everything,
The lion as stated above is not good with corals though not because he will eat them but because corals need prostine water conditions to thrive.next did you buy the lion and corals at the same store?

You sound like a compulsive liar... Why not just tell the truth the first time? :notsure:
Anyway here's a quote for you:
They may be lovely, but lionfish are also lethal. Their fins have needle-sharp spines that can inject a powerful venom into would-be predators. Lionfish are among the most venomous of all fish.

I Rule, good idea to be more honest... you'll get more help that way.
Lionfish are members of the Scorpaenidae family... while their toxin isn't as lethal as a Scorpion fish, it will hurt (a lot) and can cause complications. Do a simple google search....

OK, if you want us to stop calling you a troll and an idiot, how about you stop lying about EVERYTHING?!?!

Lying about everything?! Jesus, I may be a bloody idiot, but I'm not lying about everything.
During my stay at this forum so far, I have found that it is certainly not very friendly :help:
Although I can say that the people who could find the maturity in them to shut up about "trolls" were very helpful

Saying that I have Metal Halide when I really have HQI is hardly a lie. Anyone with some sense will know that they are almost identical for all intents and purposes relating to reef keeping.
"DragonZim" I find you to be particularly aggressive. You guys need to learn how to treat a newcomer properly.
To the people that were helpful in a non-aggressive way...
Well done.
And thank you.

I Rule, just settle down... you started off on a bad foot. People will forgive you but it's going to take some work on our part. Remember, you've been rather antagonistic on matters you don't know as much about as you claimed (you lied about working in a lighting company, saying you got stung by your lion but that it didn't hurt, etc.).
Now, to your post. In my opinion HQI's are actually better than standard MH bulbs. They don't get quite as hot.

Alright, thanks guys, I will settle down.
What should I take back for another tank? My lights? Oh no, no no,
I can't do that. I have corals in the tank.
I'm thinking of maybe just getting another dwarf lion and some more coral. How well do lions go together? What about Antennata and Radiata lions?

I like to think that I am helpful so I will try to help. I am not sure, however, how to answer your question. You appear to be asking for advice about what fish to add to your tank which is a difficult question for someone who isn't you to answer. The best answer I can give is to add what you want.
However, if you question is for advice in general I would say find a new hobby.
Hope I helped!
