not a good idea you wont have even weight distribution and it will more than likely shatter on you.
you could use a longer stick to reach the bottom of the tank and a chair or ladder to be able to clean it though.

We all dream of having a tank you have to climb in to clean! The tank at RainForest Cafe requires a scuba diver to suit up and clean. How cool is that!
I really liked watching the scuba divers cleaning the shark tank at the aquarium in New Orleans! Took 2 to clean and 2 to stand guard with some really long sticks.
