Need specific advise about clean up crew

I've read a lot of threads about clean up crews but still feel confused about exactly what I need. Here is my situation.
I have a 30 gal fowlr, no fish yet, 18 lbs live rock (willgetmore), 3 inch sand bed. I just got 4 orange hermits,3 white, 1 turbo snail. So far none of them are in the sand. My sand has "debris" of die off from the live rock during cycling. I also think I have a little brown algae (diatoms) starting to grow on the sand. My rock has a little short green and brown algae growing on some of the pieces. The pieces w/ bad algae were cheaper ones that came with less pink on them.
What would do the very best job for my specific problems and tank size? Could you all give some specifics about what each kind of snail takes care of?
Thanks again!

Red leg hermits will clean both the top layer of the sand as well as the rocks. Nassarius snails will also help with your sand. I would get 10 of each if I were you.

Thank you! My hermits did start to crawl around the perimeter of the tank today, off the rocks for the first time. I will try the Nass....Any other suggestions anyone?

The best treatment for algae...is prevention...check your water perimeters...do some water changes...
Algae is something we must accept in our tanks...we never really are rid of it...but more along the lines of controlling it. When our efforts are not enough, which they usually are not...cleanup crews are obtained to augment this effort.
