whats your water parameters at? low alk can cause quick tissue loss. But like nycbob said, its usually the base and works its way. To truly help, we need water parameters and pics help even more.

ok well after about 1.5 days the branch which i broke off continues to decay and i have yet to see the tissue at the point i broke it off at begin to receed so i think whatever it was is contained on that other branch on the other side of the tank which leads me to believe it was something bacterial
