need to catch a fish in my sump

My dragonet somehow got into my sump. I didnt see him for 3 days, figured he died. After the lights went out i went looking at all the bugs in my tank, annoyed that my dragonet is gone and not eating them. I look in my / refuge area to see how many bugs are there swimming in my chaeto and i see my dragonet. I figured he was dead, and when i tried to net it, it swam away.
My sump isnt a simple open area. I have a wet/dry inside of a tupperware container, so he can easily swim under the wet/dry and i cant get him. I cant take the wet/dry out either.
I have no idea how he swam through all the bio balls and how he slipped though the top grate. Wish i had this escape on film.
is there some type of trap i can make/buy?

i found one of my green chromes in my sump a couple weeks ago. also don't understand how he got there but there he was. not that hard to catch him though since i sump is mostly open.

Use some eggcrate to section it off, one section at a time until you have him trapped at the end.....
