my fish have been in a 30 gallon with 40 lbs live rock since thursday after I moved my 120 gallon to a new house. I checked the water today in the 120 gallon and ammonia is around .25 I used half old water and half pre mixed ro water,re used 1.5 inches old sand, half inch new coarser sand and cleaned the tank except for back wall. Is it ok to put the fish back or could I use something to drop the ammonia faster?
I have a dogface puffer, yellow wrasse, gramma, algae blennie, foxface,2 chromis, yellow tang and emerald crab crowded in the 30 gallon with 40 lbs live rock. been in there since thursday.

Wow, a lot of fish for a 30 . . . glad to see it is only temp, I would not put anything into the new setup until ammonia is at absolute zero. Even small amounts can kill.

I read that there are liquid ammonia neutralizers and ammo chips to get rid of ammonia really fast. do they work?
