Need to get rid of a nasty fish?

Then try Slice's modified fish trap. I have two fish that are really aggressive (falco hawkfish and maroon clown). The clown was the worse since it would beat up corals, attack other fish and stir the sand up. For a long time I have been trying to get him with nets along with the help with friends where we had several nets in the tank at once but this failed. I also removed several rocks in hopes to have better access to him but it failed also. I really wanted to avoid having to break the tank down.
Slice allowed me to borrow his trap and it caught the sucker in under two days!!!! I still need to remove the hawkfish but will try for him later this week.
Thanks SLICE!!!!
Here is an earlier thread showing Slice's trap modifications. I actually extended the fish line so I could sit on my couch but I was able to catch the maroon while standing next to the tank.

Glad it worked out!
Did you put the trap on the sand or rock? Or zip tie it to a frag rack up on the glass?

I moved two corals on the sand bed to make room for it. I found that mysis worked better than pellets when it came to luring the fish in. I would squirt some in and some of the mysis would slowly float out which is when the fish would eat it. Then they would see the other mysis floating in the trap and eventually would go in. The tang went in immediatley but the maroon was hesistant.
When the maroon was caught, it didn't freak out at all. He looked like he wanted to say, "damn, he finally caught me".
