hum... i know .... i never had n e big problems w/my tank yet.. (thank god) i say im perdy good at my saltwater tank... i just wanted to get something better for my tank dats all..and not to mention.. so i dont have to vac my cc..... it's a pain to vac with buch of stuff in da tank and it's a perdy big tank.. 155 bow front he he.... and i dont have much fish at all in the tank.. so im not to scard of amonia.. i got lots of water+low bio load = harder to ruin my water.. but non-the-less.. i dont want it to happen.. dats y im asking for opinions and personal expo... im just really low on $$ and looking for the easiest way to better my tank/fish's lives...but so far .. this hea plan of mines seem pluasable.. just if im gonna go through w/ it or not.... like i said b 4.. i might set up a mock trial of this idea w/ my qt tank and a damsal... c if it work out....

I made the switch from CC to sand.....it was a pretty smooth transition cuz i kept all my old water. I forget who it was at the time they gave me really good advice.. Maybe you could start a new thread about that. I had no problems no casualties or anything, and now my tank is much more beautiful and much easier to take care of cleaning wise.

i think i read that trend already.. was the adviee something like.... put all y cc in a a bag and leav em in the tank.. ad ls about 1 inch at a time so bacteria can grow evenly.. and as u add 1'' of ls.. take out 1 bag of cc.... or someting like dat??.. well if it was.. he he he.. that was perdy much what i was gonna do..
