Need to know formula

I'm building a tank L 72" x W 24" x H 36" and i need to know the formula to figure out gallons thanks

A 150 gallon tank is 72X31X18=40176/267.84=150gallons so your is a 72X24X36=62208/267.84=232gallons or so.

Actually, the formula is LxWxH (in inches) divided by 231=gallons
So a 72"x24"x36"=62208/231=270 gallons (269.298)
My 210 is 72x24x28=48348/231=209.45

thanks guys! also I'm planning on using 1/2 inch glass that. shouldent be a problem? right.

The taller they are the more bracing they need...But 1/2" glass should be fine..
Why so tall...? Is this going to be a fish only...?
If your going for a reef, you'll need some killer lighting to penatrate to the bottom of the tank with any "usefull" (PAR) light...
