I'm having a new carpet installed where I keep my 20g. I obviously need to temporarily move it. The plans I have are:
1. Move the tank night before the install and reset up after the carpet is down (24-36 hr). OR
2. Move about 1 week before the install and reset up after the carpet is down.
I'm afraid #1 will cause too much stress to the fish. Also, how could I reduce the likelihood of a new cycle? Can I/should I save the existing water and just transfer to the new location? My R/O system only provides about 50g per day. I also have about 22lbs of live rock and 1.5# of live sand. The tank has been set up for 4 months.
Opinions please
Thanks
