HAHAHAHA!!! You guys kill me. I haven't had that happen yet (thank god...my niger would definitely lay a hurt on my skin).
UPDATE: My contact just called me and said that the Crosshatch arrived and is now in QT at the LFS. He said that he is UNREAL!!! I am so excited. I am going tomorrow to take pictures and see my new guy!
I guess that he is in a tank with four 3.5" black tangs!!! That is an expensive tank of fish!

Yeah I think Will (the owner) will ship. I can ask him tomorrow.
The guy in Hawaii has a bunch more crosshatch triggers would just need to order.

Here is a quick video of my crosshatch that came in yesterday. He is doing well in Quarantine at the LFS with some good tank mates (a couple of Black Tangs
!)
He is about 8" from tip to tail and has gorgeous coloring (cant tell here because the water is blue from medicine and BAD lighting...)

Did you get all your fish as adults?

No. I only bought the Blueface as a 5" adult. All the other fish have been brought up from about 3".
They grow REALLY fast!

why is your LFS putting medication in the QT? are there sick fish on the tank or does he do it as precautionary?

The store I buy all my fish from does this as a precautionary measure. He puts in worm medicine and some other meds to ensure that the fish that are healthy remain healthy and the ones that may be sick get treated right off the bat.

Wow, The few public aquarium people I've talk to in my time preach deworming fish. Must be nice for someone to do it for you.

I'm hardly qualified to recommend this; but, several years ago, a staff Vet at a major SW fish supplier suggested that I use copper (except on some fish , like flame angels, that don't tolerate it) and Droncit ( a de-wormer) in my QT. I've been doing this since I can remember and, while I'm not sure its doing anything, I have great success acclimating new fish.

do you medicate for the entire QT period? and do you use them together? I've never heard of Droncit..is this something you can just but at an lfs or online?

I definitely put in copper into the QT tank and always use melafix during the 6 weeks of quarantine time.
The LFS that I buy at always treats their fish (all of them).

do you use the reccomended dose or less ? which copper do you use? I've used cuppramine in the past but never in QT period.

I use less than the recommended dose in QT to fight off any infections or crazy parasites. I also use cuppramine.

Copper creeps me out, especially with the avaliability of hypo, but we regularly deworm dogs, why not fish, they eat simular diets. Meat, and dirt. IT makes alot of sense.

I also use Cupramine, a full dose, for 2 weeks. This stuff is made by SeaChem, so I also use their test kit and then remove the copper with SeaChem Cuprisorb. I used another brand for years, but had trouble getting a good test reading. (I got the advice for this brand from this forum). I see no reason NOT to use copper in QT, fish-only, of course. Cupramine has a lot of room between the effective and the dangerous dosages. SeaChem has great tech support, a service I use often; from many companies. (BTW, they had a bad batch of test kits a while back; if yours doesn't give a reading, PM me. I think I can still find the lot # for the bad ones.)
Droncit is a brand (I think) of praziquantel (what a name). It is a dog/cat de-wormer and I get the marine form from a friend, but it should be available. Again, I don't know if it does anything, but it sure doesn't hurt anything either; and I got the advice from someone I consider a real expert.
