snails will help in your clean up crusade, BUT depending on what algae you have and why...well....you have to cure the reason
anyway...astrea, cerith, nerites, trochus are a good mix.....nassarius are good sand sifter snails
Hey do you know what each snail feeds on? I know nassarius eats uneaten food, they come out like zombies when I feed the SHs...they hide in the sand and as soon as food hits the tanks they come out of everywhere....heading for the food dish

trochus: naturally feeds on algae, cyanobacteria, and diatoms
astrea: cyanobacteria and diatoms..and algae on sides of aquarium
Cerith: detritus, uneaten food, decaying organics, fish waste, and several types of nuisance algae.
Nerites: algae, cyanobacteria, and diatoms,film algae eater, grazing on other surfaces, such as the sides of the aquarium

You are a mod...you shoulod make a sticky of the snail list and what eats what...it's really helpful. Which ones can't upright themselves?
